-
- Of course you can buy a second hand system for less. That's true in
- everything. According to what you say, a new system should cost less than
- a second-hand older model, and I haven't seen much of that in my life...

- Improvements take time to make. Porting the OS to a different processor takes
- a lot of time. If they were to just make improvements, the PPC version would
- never be finished. And how can you say the OS should be improved to other
- platforms'? I've never yet used an OS better than WB3.0, and I've used Unix,
- System 7 and Windoze '95.... have I been missing out on some superb other
- system?
- And how do you know the premium for the PPC will be huge? PPC chips are
- mass-produced, so they'll be cheaper than an equivalent 680x0, even if there
- was one.

- Hmm.. must admit I don't know what this is about... sounds like it may
- be related to SnoopDos, but I don't know...

-
- Again, I can't really comment on API (can't remember what it stands for
- :-) but as for developers tools, I'm sure Storm C and enforcer will more
- than suffice.

- What the heck's that? My CD-ROM seems pretty independant from my floppy!
- :-).... sounds like a bit of jargon to me...

- Give them a chance! They've can't spend money they don't own!
- They need to make money before they can spend it!
-
- The Hardware is far weaker than the OS.... I wouldn't change my WB3.0 on
- my CyberGraphics for any other OS I've seen....

-
- That's what they're DOING, making the OS portable. The 68k emulation
- won't be used in the OS, that's why it's taking time to port!

-
- If that's what you want then go ahead. I won't be swapping my Amiga for any
- inferior machine until Amigas have kicked the bucket and joined the choir
- invisible. (You can get Portable Amigas now you know!)
-

-
- Why of course it is! Naughty AT trying to make money! Not like nice Mr.
- Commodore. Oh no, they just loved the Amiga and cherished it to the point it
- is today. No money involved there, at all!
-

-
- What do you want them to do, hand out a free 4Mb Simm to eveyone who still
- owns an Amiga after 2 years!?!? They're developing the OS, they're porting it,
- they're LISTENING to people (hence the Surfer pack) and yet still everyone
- complains!
-
- Sorry if I sound like I'm flaming you personally, I'm not... I just think
- you're being unfair to AT with unrealistic demands.
